Is Tom Hardy's voice of venom?

Is Tom Hardy's voice of venom?

This English star is a talented film and stage actor who is known for his ability to fully embody his characters during his performances. Hardy has mastered many different voices and dialects, but does Venom sound?

Tom Hardy voiced Venom in the Marvel superhero movie. Hardy played both Venom and Eddie Brock, the American investigative journalist who became the host of Venom. Venom's voice is a hardy voice with the use of some sound modulation effects.

Read below to learn more about how Tom Hardy expressed Venom, as well as some of the other influences they used in the movie.

The sound of venom.

The character Venom in the movie has a strange and somewhat threatening voice. Hardy's voice served as the base for the sound, and then the film's special effects team tweaked it so it sounded less human.

However, it is not Hardy's natural voice that he uses to record Venom. In an interview with EW, Hardy talked about the development of both Eddie and Venom and how he found their separate voices.

'They have different voices. I've always seen Venom sound like a James Brown relaxed lizard, and Eddie Brock is kind of…” Hardy recoils before switching to a simple American accent. 'I don't know, the everyday kind of guy.' But he inherited this enormous ego, this monster'.

He also talked about what it was like when Venom's voice was recorded and filmed. 'They worked relentlessly to tease [it] - I had to play a voice for Venom in the morning and then play the opposite Eddie role in my earpiece, and whoever was working with me in the scene, they had to hear Venom at the same time but then they ignore that they're They heard Venom," Hardy explained.

'And whenever I give my mainline by the name of Eddie Brock - that might not make sense to anyone who's not a tech-savvy and interested in such things as me - but Patrick Anderson would be strictly under the queue of Venom so I could bypass and talk and argue with myself, and things like that. '

'It's a bit technical, it was fun. It was really, really fun, and for the audiophiles, in fact, to be fair, they probably really play Venom. It's my voice, but they're playing Venom, 'Hardy finished.

He was drawn to the film for many reasons, among them the hybrid, double-personal dynamic between Eddie and Venom. The other is that Venom wasn't a traditional hero at all, and he had very complicated feelings about the matter.

'There is an element of a tragic clown, which I find funny and in tune with some of the work I love to do. There is something funny about the circumstances of receiving a gift but it is a tragic gift. It's a superpower that you don't really want, but love at the same time. It makes you feel special. He's a reluctant and anti-hero," Hardy said.

Check out the YouTube video below to hear an audio comparison of all the actors who have voiced Venom over the years.

Other effects

Whatever effects are used, many fans have tweeted their opinions about the film and Hardy's performance, as in this post which he describes as 'extremely entertaining'.

In an interview that IGN posted on Twitter, the crew talks about Hardy's performance and other ways they brought Venom to life.

When asked what Hardy brought to the role, production designer Oliver Scholl said, 'It's fiction. It's like trying to imagine this creature in yourself that's very experimental about it, trying different versions of what it can say... You can't write that into a text, really'.

"This movie is very demanding because obviously, we have to integrate this digital character very closely with Tom's performance," said Paul Franklin, Visual Effects Supervisor.

Alcohol abuse treatment program

Diagnosis

You're likely to start by seeing your doctor. If your doctor suspects you may have a problem with your alcohol intake, he or she may refer you to a mental health professional.

To evaluate your problem with alcohol, your doctor will likely:

  • Ask several questions regarding your drinking habits. Ask your permission to speak with family members or friends. However, confidentiality laws prevent your doctor from giving any information about you without your consent.
  • Perform a medical examination. Your doctor may do a physical exam and ask some questions about your health. There are many physical signs that indicate complications from drinking alcoholic beverages.
  • Laboratory and imaging tests Although there are no specific tests to diagnose alcohol use disorder, there are certain types of laboratory tests that may strongly explain this. You may need to have tests to identify health problems that may be related to drinking alcohol. It is possible to detect damage to your organs through these tests.
  • Complete a psychological assessment. This evaluation incorporates inquiries concerning your side effects, considerations, sentiments, and ways of behaving. You might be approached to finish a poll to assist with responding to these inquiries.
  • Using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5). The Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), fifth edition, published by the American Psychiatric Association, is often used to diagnose mental health conditions.

The treatment

Treatment for alcohol use disorder can vary, depending on your needs. Treatment may entail a brief intervention, individual counseling, group counseling, an outpatient program, or an inpatient residential stay. Working to stop alcohol use to improve quality of life is the main goal of treatment.

Alcohol use disorder treatment may include:

  • Detoxification and withdrawal. Treatment may begin with a detoxification program — medically controlled withdrawal — that generally takes two to seven days. You may need to take sedative medications to prevent withdrawal symptoms. Detoxification is usually done only in an inpatient treatment center or in a hospital.
  • Learn skills and develop a treatment plan. This usually requires specialists in the treatment of alcoholism. This includes setting goals, behavior change techniques, using self-help booklets, and following up on medical care all at a treatment center.
  • Psychological counseling. Therapy and counseling, whether in a group or on your own, can help you better understand your problem and thus support and enhance your recovery from alcoholism from a psychological point of view. You may benefit from couples therapy or family therapy; Because family support can be an important part of the recovery process.
  • Oral medications. A drug called disulfiram (Antabuse) may help you stop drinking, but it won't treat alcohol use disorder or kill the compulsion to drink. If you drink alcohol, the alcohol causes a physical reaction that includes flushing, nausea, vomiting, and headache. Naltrexone, a drug that blocks the good feelings caused by alcohol, can prevent excessive alcohol consumption and reduce the desire to drink. Acamprosate may help you combat the urge to drink again once you stop drinking. And unlike disulfiram, trexone and acamprosate do not make you feel sick after drinking them.
  • Injected medication. Vivtrol, a form of the drug naltrexone, is injected once a month by a health care professional. Although similar drugs can be taken in pill form, injections of this drug can be easier to recover from alcohol use disorder since they are easier to use regularly.
  • Ongoing support. Aftercare programs and support groups help addicts recover from alcohol use disorder so that they stop drinking, experience relapse, and address necessary lifestyle changes. This includes pharmacological and psychological care or attending support groups.
  • Treating psychological problems. Alcohol use disorder usually accompanies other mental health disorders. If you have depression, anxiety, or any condition that affects your mental health, you may need talk therapy (psychotherapy) or other medications or treatments.
  • Medical treatment of disease states. Many alcohol-related health problems improve dramatically once you stop drinking it. However, some health conditions may warrant continued treatment and follow-up.
  • spiritual practice. People who engage in some form of regular spiritual practice may find it easier to maintain their recovery than to suffer from alcohol use disorder or another type of addiction. For many people, gaining great insight into their spiritual aspects is the key to healing.

Inpatient treatment programs

For serious alcohol use disorders, you may need to stay in a treatment facility that offers accommodation. Most inpatient treatment programs include individual and group therapy, support groups, educational lectures, family engagement, and activity therapy.

Inpatient treatment programs usually include certified alcohol and drug counselor, social workers, nurses, doctors, and others with experience working with alcohol use disorders.

Lifestyle and home remedies

You need to focus on changing your habits and changing your lifestyle choices as part of your recovery process. These strategies can help.

  • Think about your social standing. Tell your friends and family honestly that you don't drink alcoholic beverages. Establish a support system of friends and family members who can support you in your recovery. You may need to distance yourself from friends and social situations that impede your recovery.
  • For example, adopt healthy habits, get good sleep, get regular physical activity, manage stress more effectively, and eat healthy foods in the right amounts, all of which can facilitate your recovery from alcohol use disorder.
  • Do things that don't involve alcohol. You may discover that many of your activities involve drinking alcohol. Replace these activities with hobbies or activities that do not center around alcohol.

Alternative medicine

Avoid substituting conventional medical treatment or psychotherapy with alternative medicine. However, the following techniques may help when used in addition to your treatment plan while recovering from an alcohol use disorder:

  • Yoga. A series of yoga poses and exercises to control your breathing can help you relax and manage stress.
  • Meditation. While meditating, you focus your attention, clearing out the string of cluttered thoughts that could crowd your mind and cause stress.
  • Acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture involves inserting hair-thin needles under the skin. Acupuncture may help reduce anxiety and depression.

Adaptation and support

Many people with alcohol problems and their family members find that participation in support groups is an essential part of coping with illness, preventing or dealing with relapses, and staying vigilant. Your doctor or counselor can suggest a support group. These groups are often listed on the web and sometimes in the phone book.

Here are some examples:

  • Alcoholics Anonymous. Alcoholics Anonymous is a self-help group for people recovering from alcoholism. Alcoholics Anonymous presents the Non-Drowsy Peer Group, which is built around 12 steps as an effective model for achieving complete abstinence.
  • Women for poise. Women for Sobriety is a non-profit organization that provides a self-help group program for women wishing to overcome alcoholism and addiction. It focuses on developing coping skills related to emotional and spiritual growth, self-esteem, and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Al-Anun and Al-Atin. Al-Anon is designed for people with someone else's alcoholism. ATEN kits are available for teenage children of those who suffer from alcoholism. When their stories are shared, family members gain a greater understanding of how the disease affects the entire family.

Prepare for your appointment

Here's some information to help you prepare for your doctor's appointment, and what to expect from your doctor or mental health professional.

Review your drinking habits, taking an honest look at how often and how much you drink. Be prepared to discuss any issues that alcohol use may cause. Take a family member or friend to your appointment, if possible.

Before your appointment, list the following:

  • Any symptoms you're experiencing, including any that may seem unrelated to drinking alcohol
  • Key personal information, including any major stresses or recent life changes
  • All medications, vitamins, herbs, or any nutritional supplements you take, and the dosages of those supplements
  • Questions you might want to ask your doctor

Some of the questions you'd like to ask include:

  • Do you see me drinking too much, or showing signs of drinking problems?
  • Do you think I need to drink less alcohol or quit completely?
  • Do you think alcohol might be causing my health problems, or making these problems worse?
  • What is the best course of action?
  • What alternative treatment do you suggest?
  • Do I need to have any medical tests to identify obvious medical problems?
  • Are there any brochures or other printed materials that I can have? What websites do you recommend for me?
  • Would it be useful for me to meet with a specialist with experience in treating alcoholism?
Don't hesitate to ask more questions.

What a doctor can do

Be prepared to answer questions from your doctor or mental health professional, which may include:

  • How often do you drink alcohol and how much?
  • Do any of the family members have problems with alcohol?
  • Do you sometimes drink more than you intended to drink?
  • Have relatives, friends, or co-workers suggested that you need to reduce or stop drinking?
  • Do you feel like you need to drink more than you previously did to get the same effect?
  • Have you tried to stop drinking? If so, was it difficult, and do you have any withdrawal symptoms?
  • Have you had problems at school, at work, or in your relationships that might be related to your alcohol use?
  • Were there times when you acted dangerously, mischievously, or violently when you were drinking?
  • Do you have any health and physical problems, such as liver disease or diabetes?
  • Do you have any mental health problems, such as depression or anxiety?
  • Do you take recreational drugs?

Your doctor or a mental health professional will ask you additional questions based on your responses, your symptoms, as well as your needs. Preparing and anticipating questions will help you make the most of your appointment time.

Addiction treatment

Addiction treatment in only 4 stages to reach full recovery without relapse

Addiction must be sought by every addicted patient as soon as possible and before it is too late, as addiction is one of the most dangerous things facing a person recently.

There are many questions that must be asked about addiction, what is its concept, and what are its types, risks, and harms? What are the ways to recover from addiction without relapse?

And other questions and aspects that we must know. We will answer all these questions here, God willing.

Before talking about addiction treatment, we must know what the concept of addiction is. There are many concepts of addiction, but most studies have confirmed that addiction is a disease.

This disease may affect humans if there is a predisposition to it, but of course, medical studies differed about the classification of this disease, so the following opinions emerged:

Addiction is an organic disease

There are some concepts that I talked about that addiction is an organic disease in the main, because the chemistry of the brain takes place in some changes.

These changes lead to human beings being pushed to more external stimuli, which are the drugs that the addict relies on to try to enter a false state of happiness.

This is due to the secretion of hormones in a way that increases the imbalance in the neurotransmitters that transmit from the brain to the nervous system.

Addiction is a mental illness.

Addiction is a mental illness that affects humans in certain circumstances, such as depression, stress, illness, or obsessive-compulsive disorder, due to a change in brain chemistry.

Modern psychiatry has also proven that the brain cells responsible for dependence are the ones that control the person if this person has conditions that lead to addiction.

This is what makes brain cells need many external influences to secrete hormones that the brain relies on to escape problems or other aspects of life that may cause addiction.

Addiction is a mental illness.

Addiction is both a psychological and an organic disease that was adopted by the American study of concept of addiction, a study published by the American Society of Addiction Medicine.

In which she confirmed that the concept of addiction combines organic and psychological illness together and that the brain, which is responsible for controlling the chemistry and neurotransmitters that connect the brain and the various organs of the body, is malfunctioning as a result of drug addiction, which is what the study calls brain dysfunction.

What are the signs of drug addiction?

In order to know the steps of treating drug addiction, we must realize that there are many signs and symptoms that appear on the addict, like any other organic, mental or behavioral disease.

What are these signs and symptoms?

The signs of drug addiction differ according to each drug from the other, but there are common signs in terms of physical, behavioral, and psychological aspects.

This is what we present through the following points:

Organic signs of drug addiction

Excessive thinness, as the addict loses weight remarkably after a period of drug addiction, despite a large number of eating or natural meal that has not changed.

Therefore, the family should pay attention, as it is a clear sign of addiction.

Change in the external appearance, such as not paying attention to the external appearance in clothes or the way of eating, or paying attention to personal hygiene in the hair and face or bathing.

And such matters with a state of indifference and frivolity when advising him of the need for personal hygiene.

There are some special manifestations in the face, such as striking red eyes, dark circles around the eyes, and a runny nose.

As well as the apparent symptoms of cold without the real cold, in addition to a change in facial features and striking pallor.

There are special signs such as changing the shape of clothes and not wearing summer clothes and trying to wear shirts or long-sleeved clothes in an attempt by the addict to hide the appearance of acupuncture in the arms.

Or the appearance of some signs, such as burning some fingers in the case of smoking cannabis or some other drugs that are used through smoking.

This is in addition to wearing sunglasses constantly and strikingly to hide dark circles around the eyes or constant redness of the eyes.

Behavioral symptoms of drug addiction

The tendency to isolation and introversion, and this is one of the visible signs that a family that really wants to treat addiction for one of its members should be aware of.

Where the addicted individual tends, whether at the beginning of the addiction or after a period of drug addiction, to isolation, introversion, and distance from the family environment.

The constant need for money, where the addicted individual tries to deceive the obvious in order to get money in order to buy the drugs needed for him.

And then he sometimes tries to steal or to make money with inventive tricks, so when he reaches this point, the family must intervene and prevent the money from him.

There are some psychological manifestations, such as the inability to focus on academic achievement, dullness, indifference, and insensitivity to the surrounding reality experienced by the family.

With a lot of unusual sleep from this person, his behaviors are always characterized by unjustified violence and sometimes excessive.

Change in some behavioral manifestations such as the habit of lying, in order to hide the reality of addiction, or permanent deception in order to get out of the house to go sometimes to places of drug abuse with friends.

And then fabricating false narratives to escape the dilemma of discovery, and this is one of the clear behavioral signs of making a mistake, and then it must be confronted with the truth.

Having some obvious mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, hallucinations, and sometimes imagining things that did not happen, and are advanced signs of addiction.

This is with some other signs such as often unjustified fear and anxiety, inability to sleep, insomnia and sometimes staying up late.

These mental illnesses may amount to an attempt to harm oneself, as the addicted individual then thinks of committing suicide and getting rid of his life.

Stages of addiction

In order to treat addiction, we have made it clear that addiction is a disease that may affect humans, and every organic and psychological disease has signs and stages that the patient goes through.

What are the stages of addiction disease?

Addiction goes through many stages, including:

Party stage

It is the first stage in which drug addiction begins, as a person begins using drugs to escape from his social or psychological problems.

And thus begins getting used to the external stimulus, which is an alternative to real life, and this is what the drug does in the brain cells.

As the cells gradually begin to become accustomed to this external stimulus through the drug, the drug user then feels unusually happy.

The sense of euphoria comes to him due to the secretion of dopamine and other hormones in the brain that help him reach that delusional state.

This stage is one of the most dangerous stages because a person who uses drugs feels as if he owns the world, as he feels a strong feeling that helps him to overcome difficulties and face them.

But this is a false feeling because it is the beginning of dependence on drugs that have harms that appear after a little addiction and this person becomes sick with addiction.

The stage of losing control internally

It is a subsequent stage of the party stage, in which the drug addict begins to demand the drug and does not dispense with it.

There are many drug users who do not control themselves at this stage and demand more drugs because they saw in it a strong influence that helps them in life.

Here, they do not initially feel the need for addiction treatment, because this stage is the real step to reaching addiction in its customary form.

At this stage, the problem of drug dependence increases, and the lower the percentage of the drug in the body, the greater the serious withdrawal symptoms, which have many symptoms in terms of physical, organic, and psychological.

With the passage of time at this stage, the psychological struggle of the addict begins, whether he continues to be addicted to drugs, or not.

Most of the time, it continues because the drug completely controls the brain, and the social and psychological effects around the addict begin to appear.

Stage of denial

It is the last stage of complete addiction, in which the addict completely loses control of himself.

And he begins by changing his behavior so that it is compatible with the world of drug addiction and completely dependent on the psychological effects of the drug.

At this stage, the addict begins to show full signs of addiction, in terms of organic, psychological, and behavioral aspects.

He also exhibits some behaviors that confirm his complete deterioration, such as lying and deceiving others in order to get enough money to buy drugs.

Types of drug addiction

In order to move in the stages of addiction treatment properly, we must know the types of drugs as well as the types of alcohol and the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse on the addict.

As well as the signs of addiction that appear depending on each type of drug. In the following points, we will discuss the most important, famous, and most dangerous species that are widely spread in our Arab countries.

Hashish

Hashish is the famous cannabis plant and is called in some parts of the world marijuana, and those narcotic leaves were used medicinally in the old days. Cannabis contains some substances that have an anesthetic effect on the central nervous system, such as tetrahydrocannabinol and the substance called THC. It is one of the main substances in cannabis and is responsible for the feeling of euphoria in brain cells.

There are many names for hashish, such as Moroccan, Afghani, Indian hashish, and other names. This is in addition to other local names for hashish, whether in Sudan or other Arab countries.

Captagon

Captagon tablets are white narcotic tablets that may have a brown color at times. They are tablets with narcotic substances that work to provide a feeling of comfort, anesthesia, get rid of anxiety, relieve pain, and others.

This gives the user a feeling that he must take the doses again in order to reach this condition several times, and from here the addiction comes.

Captagon tablets are the trade name for amphetamine and drug-derived substances that contain hyperactive and stimulant substances. Over time, these substances cause many harms and risks, including auditory and visual hallucinations, and then the need to treat addiction to it appears as soon as possible.

There are many common names for Captagon tablets, such as the Flyer-Balloon, Buddha's Tablet, Abu Hilalin, Abu Quin, and others. But the most famous name in the market is Captagon, and Captagon is spread in many Arab countries, especially in the Arab Gulf countries.

Alchemy or crystal meth

Chibu is a highly dangerous industrial drug, as it contains dangerous chemicals that affect the brain, heart, blood, and the rest of the body’s organs.

These chemicals are basically stimulants that affect the mind and feeling cells inside the brain. As for the ingredients of Shabhu; They are made up of methamphetamines, a narcotic and a stimulant at the same time. Which made it an attractive drug at first because it stimulates the mind, and then after reaching addiction it becomes a truly deadly drug.

Shab has several names. Besides Shab, which is the famous name for it, it has many other names such as ice, crack, snow crystal, shrapnel, and blade.

Tramadol

Tramadol is a highly effective opioid medication for the relief of moderate to severe pain caused by chronic diseases.

Doctors sometimes prescribe it to patients, because it is based on relieving pain by controlling the central nervous system.

Especially GABA neurotransmitters, control neurotransmitters, and control dopamine production in the human brain.

Tramadol is a class of opioid analgesic drugs that are used to relieve the pain experienced by some patients, whose severity ranges between severe and moderate.

This medication is based on changing the way the brain feels pain and relieves this feeling by binding to receptors other than what the brain sends to the body. Hence the pain relief.

But it is indeed a dangerous drug for the brain and the human body in general. Therefore, the medical warnings from it were many and very dangerous, especially for women who make up a good percentage of the percentage of tramadol abusers.

Tramadol tablets are one of the most prevalent types of manufactured drugs among addicts in Egypt, where the percentage according to the Addiction and Abuse Treatment Fund constituted a large percentage, reaching 28.71%, followed by hashish and then heroin.

Lyrica

Lyrica pills fall under the category of sedative pills that treat many diseases that affect humans or, more precisely, treat the pain associated with some diseases, especially those that affect the nervous system.

Lyrica pills perform the same function that tramadol pills do by numbing and calming neurotransmitters in the brain, and preparing the nervous system for sedation. Which is considered a great benefit for the person suffering from this pain, but the same studies warned against the addiction of Lyrica.

Because it is one of the pills that can be easily addictive due to its rapid control over the brain and nervous system.

Heroin

Heroin is a chemical extracted from the opium narcotic plant, which has a powerful analgesic and sedative effect.

Despite its effect that exceeds the analgesic morphine by three times it's analgesic and narcotic strength, doctors are prohibited from using or prescribing it.

This is because of its severe impact on the patient afterward, which makes the treatment of addiction to it a very important and necessary requirement. Among the most famous types of heroin are brown, light beige, or “brown sugar” heroin and “Hong Kong stone” heroin, in addition to heroin manufactured in China such as Chinese heroin and “White Dragon Pearl” heroin.

Morphine

Morphine is a type of opiate drug that is very dangerous to the mind and sexual health, and many of its symptoms are related to the nervous system, and psychological and mental health of humans.

Therefore, it is considered one of the most important types of drugs that need immediate treatment after addiction, as morphine controls the brain centers, which causes changes in brain chemistry.

Cocaine

Cocaine is one of the most powerful natural stimulants and drugs, as it is extracted from the coca plant, which is one of the most dangerous narcotic plants in all.

This natural plant is found in the continent of South America. As for the dangerous active substance in this drug, scientists called it cocaine hydrochloride.

This substance has several special effects on the nervous system and brain activity in relation to the secretion of hormones, especially neurons that stimulate the activity of dopamine or the hormone of happiness and euphoria in the human brain. Of course, this previous effect on the brain makes the secretion of dopamine abnormal, as the brain is exposed to several disorders due to the secretion of dopamine in excess of the normal.

This is where cocaine addiction begins and requires treatment for addiction as soon as possible.

Alcohol

Alcohol is a term given to chemical compounds composed of substances that are very dangerous and toxic to the health of the body.

Alcohol depends in its components on some substances such as mono- and di-hydroxyl, which consist of hydrogen, oxygen, and carbon compounds. It is well known that alcohol is one of the ancient narcotic substances, as it is one of the oldest drugs on the face of the earth.

It has been mentioned by all the heavenly books and prohibited because of its serious damage to the mind, consciousness, body, and others. Alcohol has many industrial uses, such as the manufacture of perfumes and the synthesis of many medicines, especially sedative and pain-relieving medicines.

As well as sterile materials for wounds and skin ulcers and fuel for some mechanical machines and others.

However, the harmful use that we are dealing with in this article is the manufacture of alcoholic or spirit drinks, or what is known as wine.

Wine or alcohol has many types, but the most famous of these types are those that are made from the fermentation process of fruits such as grapes, raisins, dates, apples, barley, wheat, corn, and others.

The blue elephant

It is a pill composed of a substance called DMT that affects the brain and nervous system, completely, making the transition from the normal real world to the world of fantasy and hallucinations, or the world after death.

It has many names, such as the blue elephant, the drug of Satan, or the drug of children of themselves, and many names spread in Arab countries.

The blue elephant pill is spread in many regions of the world, and it is manufactured in factories far from the arms and eyes of censorship in many countries. However, one of the most famous regions for its manufacture and consumption is the countries of South America, perhaps because of the customs and religious heritage of some Indian tribes whose members use to see the other world in the beliefs of those tribes.

But this pill moved and spread and was manufactured in the factories of drug dealers in the United States and some European countries, and then it moved to all countries of the world.

Voodoo

Voodoo, or spell drug, is the most dangerous type of modern drug, but voodoo, which is new in appearance, despite that, is old.

Voodoo is named after some of the magical rituals and incantations that were performed by some African tribes.

Then it moved from Africa to Central and North America and from there to the whole world, including Arab countries. Voodoo, or exorcism drug, has spread and found a popular market in Sudan, like in other Arab countries. Especially among young people who are looking for something new to try and get addicted to.

Voodoo is very similar to marijuana, except that it is intended to sedate raging animals, and its smell is also close to marijuana.

The Joker

It is a synthetic drug that has spread over the past twenty years and is available in the market in the form of bags of incense and medicinal herbs. It has the same effect as cannabis on brain cells, which made it the most popular in Arab countries as an alternative to cannabis.

The Joker formula is made from some chemicals mixed with natural herbs, as well as materials used in the manufacture of fertilizers, and other materials with which pesticides are made. Among its medical names are industrial cannabinoids, and the drug Joker is now spreading around the world, where it is placed in electronic cigarettes, and it has great damage to public health, especially the brain.

Hence, the treatment of addiction to the drug Joker has become an important requirement for everyone who has fallen into the clutches of addiction to it.

Chemical

The chemical substance or drug consists of chemically manufactured substances, mixed with many herbs, the most important of which is the lotus flower. Among the famous chemicals mixed with these herbs, which are among the basic components of the chemical components, are red phosphorous, anhydrous ammonia, sulfuric acid, acetone, and lithium.

This is in addition to mixing these materials with a percentage of the narcotic cannabis.

The components of the chemical substance are considered toxic substances dangerous to human health since these substances are used in some dangerous chemical industries. Such as the manufacture of car batteries, agricultural fertilizers, the manufacture of matches, and other industries that are very dangerous to humans.

It is one of the most dangerous types of narcotic pills that have spread in recent years, and it has many names circulating among drug traffickers, such as Salaib - Crosat and others. And all these names are for Abu Saliba pills, which consist of several sedative substances that have the ability to calm the nerves and nerve cells in the brain cells.

Flakka

It has a well-known name, a drug zombie, and this name may be true to a large extent, as flakka is one of the most dangerous drugs ever. It is a foul-smelling pill, made from chemicals manufactured to be used as a general stimulant, and is very similar to khat. It is a narcotic plant with stimulant properties that grows in some countries such as Yemen, Somalia, and the Horn of Africa. This narcotic substance has dangerous effects on humans, as it leads to a loss of control of nerve cells and an increase in the proportion of hallucinations in various behaviors. Therefore, flakka is considered one of the causes of crimes in countries where the drug has spread. Thus, the treatment of addiction to flakka became a requirement to obtain security.

The dangers of drug addiction to the individual and the family

The effects of drug addiction are numerous on the individual and the family, and these effects are divided into individual, family, and societal effects, and we will deal with each separately:

Effects of drug addiction on an individual

Through studies conducted on the physical phenomena in terms of the external appearance of the drug addict, the final results showed that there are some common manifestations in all drug addicts.

One of the most important external manifestations of an addict is his nose, which suffers from a constant runny nose, especially when addiction is related to some types of drugs such as heroin, cocaine, and opium.

One of the visible signs also among addicts is the light-colored skin sign, as we find that there are addicts after a while, the color of their skin changes to lighter than usual, and this is due to changes in the circulatory system and its disturbance in many cases, as well as the disappearance of the veins.

The addict suffers from stress and general weakness in the body before the treatment of addiction until he is almost unable to move in most cases, and over time he may suffer from heaviness in the extremities, both hands, and feet, and one of the most signs for the hands is their permanent trembling.

One of the famous apparent symptoms of addicts is intermittent and disturbed speech, due to the perception defect and absenteeism that he suffers from, as drugs such as Captagon pills, Tramadol, Lyrolin, and others affect the speech and movement centers in the brain, which affects the way the addict speaks, and also alcoholism and alcoholism give an appearance Especially in speech and manner of speaking.

One of the external manifestations that accompanies the addicted patient is the turbulent mood that he suffers from in an unusual and abnormal manner. These manifestations are undoubtedly among his external appearance, but undoubtedly affect the general appearance of the addict, in terms of his clothes, the way he eats, his speech and expression His feelings, isolation, and distance from people, or a state of indifference and lack of interest.

The addict suffers from general lethargy, laziness in movement or not thinking, and acting quickly in the problems he faces so he also suffers from laziness in speaking or expressing feelings.

The addict also suffers from depression, the severity of which may range between moderate and chronic, depending on the degree and duration of use, and this depression results in some daily behaviors such as severe mood swings, isolation, isolation, and withdrawal from various social situations.

Natural mixtures to lose weight...from your kitchen

How to lose weight fast?

Many people notice an increase in their weight during the winter season, which is caused by a lack of movement to stay in warm places and eat more food; Which prompts them to search for “diet” diets and recipes to reduce their weight.

They lose a lot of money on “dieting” weight loss programs without paying attention to what nature contains safe and inexpensive materials that help in that. Most of these substances, which help you lose a lot of weight and prevent the formation of fat in different areas of the body, are abundant in nature. Among the most important of these natural recipes:

Lemon, ginger, and mint juice

This juice is considered a fat burner and helps to lose approximately 5 kilograms in a week. This juice consists of soaking the juice of one lemon, a little mint leaf, a spoon of fennel, a spoon of fresh ginger, a spoon of cinnamon, and two slices of lemon, all of which are placed in a liter of boiling water, then this juice is cooled and placed in the refrigerator and a cup is drunk from it daily for a week in the morning.

Oats and milk

This recipe is prepared by mixing a tablespoon of oats with a glass of milk, adding pieces of banana to it, to be eaten daily, a quarter of an hour before a meal, for at least a month.

garlic and parsley

To prepare this natural mixture for weight loss, peeled garlic clove is boiled with a liter of water, then removed from the fire and a bundle of parsley is added to it for 30 minutes, after which the drink is filtered through the filter, a cup is drunk from it before eating the main meals.

Ginger, mint, and cinnamon juice

Mix 1 tablespoon of green ginger, 1 tablespoon of fresh mint, 1 tablespoon of green tea, 1 tablespoon of cumin, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon in 3 cups of water, and boil for 3 minutes.

A large glass of the mixture is eaten half an hour before meals, taking care to reduce the amount of food. For those who want to get rid of belly fat, use the previous mixture without adding ginger.

Mint and lemon

Put a lemon, half a cup of water, a bunch of green mints,s and one cucumber in the blender. This mixture is taken in the morning; It will help get rid of excess weight and toxins in the body and maintain a healthy body in the winter.

Safer Immunotherapy for Cancer

Cancer

Researchers are developing a modified version of a tumor-infiltrating cytokine to trigger an immune response in specific parts of a patient's body without disrupting the rest of the body.

Safer Immunotherapy for Cancer

Despite the tireless efforts made by scientists all over the world to fight cancer, it still claims millions of lives annually, as the number of deaths resulting from infection in 2020 alone reached nearly 10 million cases around the world, and for this reason, scientists are intensifying their efforts to reach More therapeutic strategies that contribute to reducing the incidence of cancer, as well as the search for new treatment methods and techniques.

Cancer immunotherapy is one of the promising therapeutic techniques that has made great progress in recent years and is now attracting many research laboratories. The immune system works to protect us from foreign bodies, fight infections and various diseases, and detect and destroy abnormal cells.

Immunotherapy helps the immune system work better against cancer. One type of cancer immunotherapy is "cytokine therapy", which activates the response of immune cells inside tumors, but there are usually unwanted side effects, such as severe toxicity.

In this context, researchers have developed a modified form of cytokines that makes this type of treatment safer, by designing a type of cytokine (IL-12) to target tumors. A powerful addition to our suite of weapons against disease, the same technology may help make other treatments safer.

The research team has been working on this study for nearly six years, according to Benjamin Moon, a researcher at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and one of the study’s researchers. “Our laboratory is interested in modifying the natural immune molecules in the body to become They are safer and more effective in treating different types of cancer, and one way to do this is to create prodrugs, which are forms of medicine that are activated upon contact with cancer cells.”

Benjamin Moon

Support the immune army

Fighting cancer is part of the normal function of the immune system, for example, tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes or TILs, which are a tool of the immune system, and also a type of white blood cell that migrate from the blood to the tumor and collect around or inside the tumor so that they can kill the cells, However, the cancer cells succeeded in developing defensive methods that enabled them to escape death at the hands of this soldier.

There are several types of cancer immunotherapy, which would help the immune system in its war against the disease. These treatments include different strategies, some of which target the elimination of the defensive methods of cancer cells, and others that aim to enhance and strengthen the immune response and determine its impact to be limited to tumors only.

cancer immunotherapy

But immunotherapy can cause side effects when the immune system that's been backed up to fight cancer also works against healthy cells and tissues in the body as well. "The immune cells that can respond and eliminate cancer cells are very much the same as the immune cells in In the blood, where immunotherapies stimulate cells outside the tumor in addition to the cells inside it, non-specific immune stimulation can lead to inflammation and cell death.” For this, researchers focus on several key areas to improve immunotherapy, including how to reduce the side effects of treatment. immune system;

Moon explains: "When you have a cold, most of the symptoms you have, such as a fever, are not from the cold virus, but rather because the immune system is fighting that virus. You can imagine why it would be bad to activate the immune response for the whole body."

Cytokines are proteins made by white blood cells to help the body fight cancer, infection, or other diseases, and they play an important role in the body's immune response.

Mohamed El Gendy Researcher at the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Microbiology at Uppsala University, Sweden says: "Cytokines act as powerful signals that help activate the immune system, but excessive activation causes serious side effects, known as a cytokine storm, and can be fatal, as happened recently with many Covid-19 patients.

Diluted cytokine

Scientists have been able to synthesize these cytokines in the laboratory for use as a treatment for various diseases by helping the immune system kill cancer cells or prevent them from growing. The two main types of cytokines used in cancer treatment are interleukins (ILs) and interferons (INFs).

Diluted cytokine

Mohamed Osama El Orabi, a professor of oncology at Ain Shams University (Egypt), who was not involved in the study says:

"Treatment with interleukins is one of the first therapeutic strategies used in the immunotherapy of tumors - especially kidney tumors and some types of skin cancer - since the 1990s, but the problem that limited the spread of this type was its efficacy and some side effects.

"Cytokines generally stimulate immune cells," Moon says. "Inside tumors, this stimulation activates toxic T cells, which can directly kill cancer cells. Outside the tumor, this stimulation can lead to whole-body inflammation and organ damage.".

Moon and his colleagues wanted to make this type of therapy safer, by developing an interleukin called IL-12. “IL-12 is a powerful cytokine that can completely eliminate tumors in mouse models, although Taking its effective dose is associated with toxic effects, so we wanted to modify the synthesis of IL-12 in a way that would allow us to maintain its effectiveness against tumors, while at the same time reducing the level of toxicity resulting from it.”

The researchers named their improved cytokine pro-IL-12, a cytokine masked that enables it to disguise and infiltrate the tumor to activate antitumor T cells in mice. Once this cytokine enters the tumor, certain tumor-produced enzymes called matrix metalloproteases can remove the mask. Cytokine. Without the mask, the cytokine can stimulate strong immune responses against tumors, as well as slow the growth of various tumors without causing toxic side effects.

Given IL-12's toxicity, the FDA has not authorized its use for cancer treatment, but Moon believes that their study results may represent an important step toward adding cytokines to our anticancer toolkit.

According to the results of the study, the developed cytokine improved the efficacy of therapies targeting tumors in mice, such as treatment with tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) or treatment by inactivating checkpoints, which are promising immunotherapies that are still in their infancy, and the developed cytokine demonstrated similar mechanisms and benefits in tumors. Derived from humans and then transplanted into mice, these findings suggest that pro-IL-12 could have a significant therapeutic effect in cancer patients receiving immunotherapy.

Al-Orabi agrees with that, saying: “This therapeutic strategy may represent a new type of immunotherapy, which may be used alone or in combination with other immunotherapies, but after conducting the necessary clinical trials and approval by the pharmaceutical authorities.”

Obstacles and a long road

Reaching these results was not easy. The researchers encountered many obstacles while designing this new type of prodrug. Moon explained that there was a lot of trial and error until they came up with the perfect design. He also indicated that the secret of their success lay in Finding the right balance between efficacy and toxicity.

It seems that it was worth it. Moon explained that the same technology can be used on other drugs and proteins to make them safer. El Gendy believes that the study offers a promising strategy for developing immunotherapy drugs. He confirms what Moon said, saying: The study provides a versatile strategy that can be used in regimens for other diseases."

The mouse immune system is very different from the human immune system, for example, the balance between neutrophils (neutrophilic granulocytes) and lymphocytes differs greatly between the two types, lymphocytes dominate mouse blood, while neutrophils dominate human blood, according to El Gendy, this is a critical point regarding the results of the Munn study in mice, and adds: “It is expected to see a more pronounced effect of pro-IL-12 use in mice compared to humans, given that pro-IL-12 affects cells lymph".

Moon believes that studies in mice are a starting point for studies in humans, not the end goal, noting that the published data from their study include the use of treated mice provided with human immune cells.

El Gendy also explained that the pro-IL-12 cytokine affects only T cells that are already inside the tumor, but does not cause the migration and infiltration of T cells into the tumor in order to enhance the functioning of the immune system, which raises concerns about the effectiveness of these molecules in clinical studies. “Having a lot of active T cells inside the tumor gives a similar end result,” Moon says in response. “The combination of the pro-IL-12 cytokine we developed with other therapies that stimulate tumor T cell migration but are less effective in activating T cells.” T cells can be particularly effective."

Moon and colleagues are still studying pro-IL-12. "We want to know how the cytokine we've developed works, what cells it affects, and what we can do more to improve its effect," Moon says. These questions can help us identify patients For whom this type of therapy is better suited, and may help design better prodrugs for the future, we are working to develop some other cytokines that may have medical applications if we can control their toxicity as well.”

“El Gendy” stressed the need to conduct studies that determine the best dose of the drug, and determine the maximum permissible dose, before moving to the clinical trial stage, which Moon agreed with, saying: “This type of studies must be conducted at some point, given the fact that We are still in the early stages of the design and mechanistic studies, so it may be a bit premature, at the moment, we only tested the cytokine on mice, and it may undergo further changes to its design.”

El Gendy also emphasized that the strategy used in the current study provides insight into multiple uses for better drug development, and explained that reaching a balanced immune response may help treat critical cases of COVID-19 as well, by avoiding the cytokine storm.

E-cigarette smokers are more likely to have a stroke at a young age

E-cigarettes

Preliminary results warn: They face a 15% higher risk of stroke compared to traditional smokers... Avoiding all cigarettes and nicotine is the best way to maintain a healthy brain

Tobacco use is a risk factor for stroke and other cardiovascular diseases; Cigarette smoking kills about 480,000 people annually in the United States, according to estimates by the American Heart Association Presidential Advisory.

Over the past years, the global use of electronic cigarettes has increased dramatically, and despite the prevalence of their use, there is very limited knowledge about their safety, risks, and effectiveness in helping people to quit smoking, according to a study - under publication - conducted by a research team from Mount Sinai University School of Medicine. in New York for the American Heart Association.

The researchers were supposed to present the preliminary results of the study within the scientific sessions of the American Heart Association for the year 2021. But the results were not presented or reviewed for reasons related to display techniques, according to the comments obtained by the magazine "For Science" through communication with officials of the "American Heart Association".

E-cigarettes are battery-operated devices that heat a liquid (usually, but not always, nicotine), turning it into a vapor that can be inhaled.

Researchers examined National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey data from 2015 through 2018 and identified 79,825 adults with a history of stroke who used conventional cigarettes, e-cigarettes, or both.

The researchers report that 7,756 people used e-cigarettes, 48,625 people used conventional cigarettes, and 23,444 people used both traditional cigarettes and e-cigarettes.

The preliminary results of the study show that "although stroke was more prevalent among traditional cigarette smokers, e-cigarette smokers were 15% more likely to have a stroke at a younger age, compared to traditional smokers."

"Adults who used e-cigarettes were younger when they first had their stroke, with a median age of 48, compared with a median age of 59 years for people who smoke conventional cigarettes, and 50 years for those who smoke both conventional and e-cigarettes," she says.

The preliminary results also concluded that 36.36% of women who had a stroke used electronic cigarettes, compared to 33.91% who smoked traditional cigarettes.

We worked to include people aged 18 and over 18 in the study, Neil Battle, chair of education in the Department of Public Health and Neuroscience at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai University in New York City, and the study's principal investigator told Science. , especially since there is an increasing trend of smoking among young people, so it was very important to include younger adults in the study.

"People need to know that e-cigarettes have not been shown to be safe and should not be considered as an alternative to traditional smoking, especially among people with existing risk factors, such as a history of heart attacks and high blood pressure," Patel adds.

The study notes that "nicotine is one of the chemicals that go into the products of both e-cigarettes and traditional cigarettes, but there are many other chemicals that can directly affect the endothelium of blood vessels, and these substances can cause damage to blood vessels." This leads to atherosclerosis, and can also lead to blood clots.

“It is important for young people to realize that e-cigarettes are not a safe alternative to conventional cigarettes and that the best alternative to cigarettes,” Karen L. Fury, chair of neurology at Brown University’s Warren Albert School of Medicine and volunteer expert with the American Heart Association, says in the press release accompanying the study. A way to keep your brain healthy and prevent stroke is to avoid all cigarettes and nicotine products.

The researchers admit that the study was not without some reservations, most notably that they did not have data on the type or severity of participants' strokes, which requires further research to better assess the long-term effects of e-cigarettes and their role in heart health and stroke.
